QUESTION: Hello Doctor, being well fed helps and protects our health. What kind of food can help us?

Good morning Jorge,
We have known for a long time that an unbalanced diet brings about many problems. On the other hand, scientific research has shown that some foods help our immunologic system.
This is very important; especially as we grow old they become natural protectors. The foods studies recommend are:
· Fish, seafood, crustaceans and eggs
· Red fruits such as berries and mirtle
· Black chocolate
· Red wine
However, there are other foods that hurt our endurance and immunity. We have to watch them out and decrease the consumption of saturated fatty acids in butter, cheese and meat.
